I Apologize... You Are Doing Enough
Feeling guilty about summer learning loss? You are probably doing enough. But if you want to keep learning, just do this 1 easy tip...
I want to correct something I've implied before. In June I sent out a lot of information about Summer Learning Loss. Since then some of you have guiltily admitted you aren't doing enough with your kids.
That wasn't my intention.
I share a lot of advice on the internet. But my advice is not one size fits all. I don't know the ins and outs of your life. Odds are, if you are interested in Primary Focus, you are doing enough, and I don't want to be a nagging voice that's asking you to do more.
So if completing a summer workbook and curating museum experiences isn't realistic for you. Let's talk about the one thing to get the most out of things you can do.
Ask your child questions
Questioning helps children with critical thinking, reflection, language development, and making connections.
Here are some great questions to ask a child in elementary school
🔥 Level 1: Simple who, what, when, where, why, how questions
🔥 🔥 Level 2: What's the difference between ___ and ___? Could this have happened in ___?
🔥 🔥 🔥 Level 3: Why is that your opinion? How could we solve this problem? How did you make this decision?
