A strong start to kindergarten is essential for success in school. I've teamed up with Johns Hopkins to best prepare your child for kindergarten.

You'll leave each class with activities you can try with your child the same day. This is meant to be a hands on class. The only "homework" are tasks you can naturally complete with your child!

Natalie Parmenter, former kindergarten teacher, will teach you skills and routines to prepare your child for school. This course will focus on social emotional, literacy, and math skills that will give your child an advantage in kindergarten. Each week you'll be encouraged to try tasks with your child to bring them one step closer to being ready for kindergarten.

This course will run for 5 weeks. Wednesdays from 2-3pm eastern: June 12, June 19, June 26, July 3, and July 10. Live attendance is encouraged, but replays of class will be made available.

Syllabus:

Week 1: Kindergarten's changed a lot

Overview of what kindergarten is like in the United States, important terms parents should know, debunking expectations vs reality of kindergarten

Week 2: Social Emotional Skills
